ABOUT COPPERLODE DAM
Lake Morris (Copperlode Dam) is a fresh water reservoir dam servicing the city of Cairns. The Lake is located in the range immediately west of the city and some 23km (30 min) by road from the CBD with some of the best views of Cairns en-route to the dam.
Copperlode Dam is surrounded by world heritage listed rainforest and offers unprecedented and exclusive access to some of the most amazing wildlife encounters that Cairns has to offer.
ABOUT THE MENTORS
In the ten years prior to starting ‘Kim Andersen Sportfishing Charters’, Kim was employed by the Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol firstly as a field officer and later as senior officer in “Special Fisheries”. Kim was responsible for enforcement of the Australian Fishing Zone and various federal controlled fisheries.
Kim was also invloved in the building of the Great Barrier Reef International Marine College and was CEO for 4 years post construction.
Kim has achieved a high degree of success in tournament fishing over the years.
He now runs Copperlode fish and kayak on lake morris and recently acquired rights to the Daintree river as well as other Cairns waterways.
